Melanie,
Albert was a special and wonderful man whom I was honored to call "friend." He was generous to a fault and always was available on many levels--there with good advice and counsel, there with kindness and support, there with your back--when you needed him most. He had an uncanny sense of knowing when he was needed and would just show up in my office! Thank you for keeping us advised about Al. I am here to help if you need me. God Bless your family.

As a friend and drum corps brother I am so saddened to hear of Al's passing. The times we had together in our activity, especially in the Interstatesmen will be cherished in my mind until it's my turn. Al's personality and nature were incredible Those who had the pleasure of knowing him were very fortunate as his wisdom and intelligence showed through his many discussions with all of us. His subtle humor brought much enjoyment to all who listened to him explain his take on life's trials and tribulations. He was a natural leader. I will miss him and am so grateful for his friendship. RIP, old buddy!

I am very sorry for the loss of Al...I knew him when I was a teenager and he was a member of the Green Sabres of Schuylerville. He and another friend (Lionel Normandin) used to take me bass fishing in the Hudson River in Thomson back in the 1950's. I met back up with him with the Capital Brass Drum Corps. He always played a sweet horn. I used to enjoy his company, whenever we met up. May he rest in peace...
