Obituary of Leora E. Tozier

Leora E. Tozier, 93, of Ballston Lake, died peacefully on Friday October 6, 2023. Leora was born in Waterville, Maine on August 23, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Thelma and Carl Glazier. She is the beloved wife of Robert Tozier, who died on August 18, 2002. Lee is the devoted mother of Nancy Lee (Dennis) Rang of Melbourne, Florida and Andrew (Sheley) Tozier of Clifton Park, New York. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren.

Lee attended Ricker Classical Institute in Houlton, where she met and married Bob Tozier and was married for 51 years. The family lived in Houlton and built a camp on Nickerson Lake where they enjoyed summers boating, fishing and golfing. The family later lived in East Aurora, NY, Noblesville, IN, Fayetteville, NY and Pembroke, NH until retirement located them in Ballston Lake, NY.

Painting, golfing, antiquing, cooking and gardening were Lee’s passions. In addition, Lee and Bob traveled the world seeing Hawaii, Japan, Italy, and China. Lee was employed at Key Bank and was involved with a variety of volunteer groups. Bible study was a priority in her life. Serving on a crisis helpline for women, Lee shared her special talent for compassion. She loved all of her pets – especially her pups! Lee was enormously proud of her grandchildren and enjoyed family time immensely. Lee’s kind heart and generous, welcoming spirit to friends and neighbors, will be missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to a calling hour on Friday, October 13 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park, NY 12065, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 5:00 pm.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.
