Obituary of Gloria J. Mastropietro

Gloria Jean Hathaway Mastropietro, 72, of Cohoes, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Monday, June 26, 2023.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Hathaway and the late Mary T. Noonan Hathaway Connelly and was a graduate of Waterford- Halfmoon High School and attended HVCC.

Mrs. Mastropietro had been employed at Express Scripts Pharmacy in Troy.

She loved to crochet, camping, fishing, Christmas and most of all spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gloria was a communicant and Eucharistic Minister at St. Augustine’s Church in Lansingburgh.

Devoted mother of Kelly (Daniel) Mysliwiec of Waterford and Frank (Jessica) Chiera of Averill Park, loving companion for 27 years to Paul Bezduch, cherished grandmother of Randy (Robyn) Mysliwiec, Brandon (Sophia) Mysliwiec, Zach Chiera, Jarid Chiera and Felicia Chiera, adored great grandmother of Ryan Mysliwiec, Gianna Mysliwiec and Penelope, dear sister of Edward (Nora) Ormsbee, Gary (Sandra) Ormsbee, Brian Ormsbee and Mary Ann Jones, also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families as well as her fur-baby Ginger.

Relatives and friends are invited to Calling Hours on Friday, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115^th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182 and to her Funeral Service which will be celebrated that day in the funeral home at 6:30 p.m.
