Obituary of James F. McGill

James F. McGill, 84, of Clifton Park, entered into eternal life at Kingsway Nursing Center, Schenectady, NY, on Sunday, April 2, 2023, with his beloved family at his side.

Born on May 7, 1938, in the Bronx, NY, Jim was the son of James and Claire (Daly) McGill. He is survived by his loving wife, Lynne (Budge) McGill, children, James McGill (Anecia), Jennifer Sadera (CJ), Kevin McGill (Laurie), and sister-in-law, Cheri Stevens (Tom). He is also survived by grandchildren Amanda, Sondra, Ryan, Eva, James, Kaylee, Taylor, and Austin, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Jim graduated from Mount St. Michael Academy in Bronx, NY, and Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA, before earning a Master's Degree in Public Policy at SUNY Albany.

After enjoying a decades-long career with New York State Higher Education Services Corporation, he retired, splitting his time between St. Augustine, FL, Clifton Park, and Lake George. He spent many happy years pursuing his passion for tennis and golf, a keen interest in history and politics, and walking his adored Shih Tzus along the Florida beaches.

He will always be remembered for his gentle nature, unending kindness, and ceaseless devotion to his family and friends.

Funeral services will be at the convenienceof the family from the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.
