Obituary of Rajiv Lumb

Rajiv Lumb, 46, of Saratoga Road passed away on Friday March 24, 2023 after being stricken.  He was born on August 29, 1976 in Garhshankar, India and was the son of Satish Kumar and Sudesh Kumari.  Rajiv was educated in the India school system, having graduated from Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandrar.  He came to the United States in 1997 and graduated with his MBA from SUNY Albany.  At the time of his death, Rajiv was an IT manager with NYS in Albany for more than 20 Years.  He loved “Bollywood”, Indian entertainment.  He enjoyed cricket, Soccer/Football and Indian Cuisine.  He was a member of the Albany Hindu Temple.  Most of all, Rajiv loved his family.

In addition to his parents, Rajiv is the husband of Krystle D. Rice Lumb; father of Nikarika Lumb, Meera Lumb, who are survived by their mother, Ria Lumb and his son, Mihir Oliver Lumb; stepfather of Zerviah, Matilda and Elphaba Smith; brother of Nidhi (Akash) Sahni; uncle of his twin nephews, Ranbir and Kabir Sahni

Hindu Ritual Service will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the Gardner Earl Chapel at Oakwood Cemetery, 186 Oakwood Avenue Troy, NY 12182 at 11:15 am.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lumb Children’s Education Fund in care of the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.
