Obituary of Terry Denise Canty

Terry Denise Canty, 57, of Watervliet, formerly of Troy, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at her residence.

Born in Troy, New York, she was the daughter of the late Henry Edge and Mary Lee Canty and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Miss. Canty devoted her life to caring for those in need and was a PCA with AccuCare Home Health Services, Inc.

Terry enjoyed dancing, hanging out with her friends and family, travelling and fishing.

She was a member of the Golden Girls of Troy.

Terry was the devoted mother of Ashton L. Canty and RaShaun J. Moore, loving sister of Henrietta Edge, Tyiesha Edge, Tyrone (Pamela) Canty, Michael Canty, Anthony Canty and Henry Edge, Jr., cherished Grandmother of Karter (J) Moore, Mylah M. Moore and Zarrah J. Canty, also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to Terry Denise’s Home Going Memorial Service on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Oak Grove Baptist Church, 514 Seventh Avenue (in Lansingburgh), Troy, NY 12182.

Terry’s family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to their family and friends.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (corner of 11t5th Street in Lansingburgh), Troy, New York 12182.
