Obituary of Lindsey Moore
Lindsey “Lin” Moore, was born November 22, 1939 in Keysville, GA. He was one of 6 children born to the late Sam and Rosa Lee Moore. Lindsey entered eternal rest on January 21, 2023 after a long illness while being cared for by his devoted wife, Elaine. Lindsey married Elaine on August 31, 1985. He had two sons, Stanton Moore (deceased) and Dwaryn Skeeter (deceased),
Lindsey leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Elaine Richburg Skeeter-Moore; sons Darrell Skeeter and Darnell Nooris; brother Samuel (Bernice) Moore of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; 6 grandchildren, Eric, Xavier, Tayla, Jennifer, Savannah, Neriah and a great granddaughter Lariyah and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lindsey received his early education in Ft. Lauderdale including graduating from Dillard High Scoool. He was later drafted into the Army where he served honoraby from 1961 – 1963. Following his service in the Army, he worked many years at General Electric Co. where he retired in 2006. Following his retirement he worked part time until his illness driving a bus for the local school district in Albany, NY. He enjoyed doing the Sunday newspaper crossword puzzles. His greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren who lovingly call him Poppy.
Funeral will be held on Friday at 12 noon in the John J. Sanvidge FH Inc. Cor. of 115th. Street & 4th. Ave. in Lansingburgh.
Calling hours will be from 10-12 noon Friday in the funeral home prior to the service.
Interment with full military honors will be at 2:00 pm in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
