Obituary of Donald Earl Nelson

Donald “Don” Earl Nelson, 74, of Clifton Park passed away peacefully on Saturday May 29, 2021.  He was the son of the late Margaret and Maynard Nelson (Nahant, MA); Beloved husband of Judy Nelson of Clifton Park, NY; devoted father of Kristyn

(Matthew) Alheim of Clifton Park, NY and Amy (Dale) Shields of Edgewater, MD; brother of Rick Nelson of Kittery, ME, Barbara Sweeney of Peabody, MA, Thomas Nelson of Osterville, MA and Robert Nelson of Beverly, MA; cherished grandfather of Brennan, Hayleigh, Jack, Madison, Macintyre, and Sullivan.

Don was a graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy in 1967 and had worked for AT&T for 30+ years.  He retired and became a bus driver for the Shenendehowa Central School District.  He enjoyed the ocean, but most important to him was the time spent with his family.

Funeral services were private for the family from the Gordon G. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.
