CHRISTINE GRUBBS FOX BEECHER WAS THE DAUGHTER OF HENRY ANE ICIE GRUBBS AND GRANDDAUGHTER OF REV. J.W. AND  MARY CAROLINE GRUBBS  AND JESSE AND EMMA HARRIS.  CHRIS WAS BORN IN CLEBURNE COUNTY ALABAMA IN THE CHULAFINNEE COMMUNITY.  CHRIS WAS EDUCATED IN HEFLIN, AL AND  WAS A GRADUATE OF CLEBURNE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL.  AFTER GRADUATION, CHRIS ATTENDED ANNISTON BUSINESS COLLEGE IN ANNISTON AL.   THERE SHE MET HER FIRST HUSBAND BILL FOX,  A SOLDIER AT FT. MCCLELLAN ,AL.  CHRIS SOON MADE THE MOVE TO NEW  YORK STATE WHERE SHE WOULD ENJOY HER NEW HOME FOR MANY BEAUTIFUL YEARS.  CHRIS ATTENDED RUSSEL SAGE COLLEGE AND WAS EMPLOYED AND RETIRED FROM NEW YORK STATE UNITED TEACHERS.

CHRIS WAS A MEMBER OF SHENENDEHOWA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH IN CLIFTON PARK AND WAS A MEMBER OF THE EDISON CLUB, WHERE SHE ALSO WAS ACTIVE IN THE WOMENS GOLF ASSOCIATION. CHRIS WAS AN AVID GARDNER AND LOVED THE OUTDOORS. SHE
ENJOYED GARDENING AND LOVED WORKING IN HER FLOWER GARDENS AND HAD GORGEOUS VIOLETS.

SHE  LOVED TO PLAY GOLF AND WALKING.   SHE WAS AN AVID SPORTS FAN.  SHE WAS A HUGE FAN OF HORSE RACING AND ENJOYED TAKING FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO THE SARATOGA TRACK.  SHE ENJOYED TRAVELING ABROAD AND LOVED HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS.  SHE LOVED HER CHURCH.  CHRIS  WILL  BE MISSED BY HER FAMILY AND ALL THAT KNEW HER.  HER INFECTIOUS SMILE WILL LIVE ON IN OUR HEARTS.

CHRIS WAS THE YOUNGEST OF 5 CHILDREN AND WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY MALLORY GRUBBS HER BROTHER OF HEFLIN,AL, EDNA  AYERS AND  LATANAE PAYNE OF HEFLIN,AL AND EVELYN RENNA OF LOCKPORT,NY

CHRIS WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY TWO HUSBANDS, WILLIAM FOX OF ALBANY NY  AND BILL BEECHER OF CLIFTON PARK, NY AND A COMPANION, BILL POMAKOY.


SURVIVED BY SISTER N LAW MARY PAUL OF ALBANY ALONG WITH MANY NIECES, NEPHEWS AND  GREAT NIECES AND GREAT NEPHEWS.

 

 IN LIEU OF FLOWERS PLEASE MAKE DONATIONS TO ST. JUDES CHILDRENS HOSPITAL OR A CHARITY OF ONES CHOICE.


GRAVE SIDE SERVICES WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY MORNING AT 10:30 IN MEMORY GARDENS, COLONIE.
